ALL-ON-4 – ADDISON, TX

Make Your Smile Reappear with Dental Implants

There are no tooth replacement options quite like dental implants. However, they do have some important factors worth considering. For example, single implants, implant-retained bridges and implants designed to attach to dentures require a significant amount of healing before they can be restored. If you want to walk out of our dental practice with a brand-new smile the same day your implants are placed, you’ll want to give us a call and set up a consultation about All-On-4 treatment!

How Do All-On-4 Implants Work?

Through All-On-4 treatment, a series of dental implants are placed throughout the jaw. In contrast to implant-retained dentures, All-On-4 maximizes the amount of bone tissue in a way that allows a temporary restoration to cover the still-healing implants. Both treatments involve osseointegration, which is the process in which titanium bonds with bone, but only All-On-4 allows dentists to attach a denture the same day as surgery. Even though only four implants are utilized, they are strong enough to hold the restoration with confidence. After they have been placed and properly secured, we’ll cover them with a temporary denture as they heal over the next several months.

Am I A Candidate For All-On-4 Implants?

The first step we need to take is completing a detailed consultation at our office. There, we can confirm if you are eligible for dental implants as well as All-On-4 treatment specifically. The good news is if you have good oral/gum health and have sufficient bone tissue, you’re more than likely a candidate for All-On-4 implants. Your consultation will include a comprehensive exam, set of X-rays, and a quick scan from our 3D cone beam scanner. This makes it much easier for us to create a treatment plan moving forward.

What Are the Benefits of All-On-4 Implants?

Dental implants feel incredibly comfortable once they are placed inside of your mouth, making basic functions like chewing and biting foods (even tough and crunchy ones like steak and apples) much easier. Since the denture is affixed to your implants, you also won’t have to remove them just to keep them clean. All you need to do is brush and floss them as normal as well as maintain routine dental exams and cleanings. Finally, you can expect the bone tissue inside your jaw to remain intact, rather than breaking down or resorbing. This is because the implants are continuously stimulating your jaw’s bone tissue.

All-On-4 Vs. Traditional Dental Implants

The most common reason patients opt for All-On-4 treatment over traditional dental implants is due to their ability to receive a brilliant smile the same day as their surgery. For many, the healing phase of dental implant treatment can be difficult since they aren’t able to receive their restorations until the implants have thoroughly healed. Furthermore, dentures retained with dental implants may require as many as six implants and bone grafting material because they are not placed in the same way that All-On-4 implants are. If you want to receive a beautiful smile sooner, then All-On-4 is absolutely worth considering.
